Chile – From the driest desert in world to the most southern tip of South America

Chile is known for the Atacama desert, where some of the world’s largest telescopes observe the clear sky, great wine and the Easter Island. But this elongated country offers a lot more!

My personal highlights were the spectacularly clear skies in the Atacama desert, hiking in Torres del Paine, the rough landscape along the Carretera Austral and the way wildlife survives in these harsh conditions. Easter Island is due for the next trip.
