Costa Rica – One of the most visited countries. Despite the large numbers of tourists, you can still find untouched nature.

Nature is well protected in Costa Rica. Luckily most parts it’s easily accessible as well. Roughly 28% of the country is either a national park or a reserve.

My personal highlights were the Corcovado and Tortuguero National Parks. They are quite remote but, from my perspective, totally worth the effort getting there. I would also like to mention the Cahuita National park as well. The is no entrance fee (just a donation), it’s very well maintained and there are plenty of animals to observe. From beautiful cost lines, and rich jungles on both sides of the country, to wild animals right next to the footpath, Costa Rica has it all.
